Eastern Community

Our standards

Eastern Community aims to make thoughtful, readable work about the ties and shared spaces of neighbourhood life. We value clear sourcing, fair descriptions and a plain account of what an article can and cannot establish.

Accuracy and care

We check factual statements against suitable material available to us and distinguish established information from interpretation or suggestion. We avoid presenting a single experience as a rule for every community. If a topic turns on local requirements or specialist advice, we say so and do not frame a general article as a substitute.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial choices are guided by relevance to readers, not by a partner's preferred conclusion. Any sponsored or partner material, including paid placements, will be clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error or unclear passage, contact us through the Contact page and include the article title and the detail in question. We review correction requests and update material when warranted. Where a change substantially alters the meaning of an article, we will make that change clear to readers.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Illustrations are not evidence for a factual claim, and we aim to keep visual choices from misleading readers about real people, places or events.

What we believe

A community is made in the small moments

A familiar meeting place, a thoughtful invitation or a shared task can help neighbours find common ground. We look at the details that make those moments work.
